It costs more than this to go to LIANZA Conference...

Andrew Robinson, Customer Services Manager, South Waikato Libraries is the newbie LIANZA member who’s won a free earlybird registration to this year’s conference! Congratulations!

We’ll be catching up with our lucky winner right here on the blog shortly.

If you’re currently shedding bitter, bitter tears because you thought you were in with a chance, despair not! There are still plenty of opportunities to get to conference on someone else’s coin. Just check out the following sponsorship options –

Hydestor Awards

Wellington LIANZA members have until 10am this Friday to get their applications in for this $750 award for any professional development opportunity.  For more information see the LIANZA website or contact Charlotte Clements Charlotte.Clements@vuw.ac.nz

Aoraki

Aoraki members should be aware that their regional committee has funds available for sponsorship of members (of either LIANZA or Te Rōpū Whakahau) to participate in professional activities.  This can include attendance at LIANZA conference.  For more information on how to apply contact erin.kimber@canterbury.ac.nz.  Again, applications close this Friday 28 August.

CatSIG

Members of the Cataloguing Special Interest Group are eligible to apply for funding to attend LIANZA Conference.  This sponsorship covers registration fees and $500 towards travel and accommodation costs.  For more information contact Janess.Stewart@natlib.govt.nz.  Applications for this sponsorship are open until 14 September.

Any other sponsorship opportunities to attend conference that you know about?  Please post the details or links to further information in a comment.
